Cookies cannot be used to start programmes or transfer viruses to your computer. The information provided by cookies helps facilitate your navigation of our portal.

Under no circumstances will GUTEX pass on any data or permit access to your personal information by a third party without first obtaining your consent.

Most browsers are set to accept cookies. To prevent or alter the storing of cookies on your device, you must change your browser settings. We run a log containing subscriptions to the Newsletter, the sending of confirmation request e-mail and receipts of the requested replies, which we solely use to send you our Newsletter. We do not gather any other data, nor do we give your information to third parties.

Google Analytics & Data Privacy

This Web site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies," which are text files placed on your computer, to help the Web site analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Web site (including your anonymized (shortened) IP address, if activated and if you are in an EU Member State or EEC Member State), will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In some cases, your complete IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States where it is shortened.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Web site, compiling reports on Web site activity for Web site operators and providing other services relating to Web site activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, if required by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this Web site. In addition, you can prevent the transmission of information generated by the cookie and the information about your use of the Web site (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this information by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at this link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de&

Use of Font Libraries (Google Web Fonts)

To ensure the intended and attractive display of GUTEX Web site content, we use font libraries, such as Google Web fonts (www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Web fonts transfer to your browser’s cache to eliminate the need for repeated loading. If your browser doesn’t support the use of Google Web fonts, the content will appear in a standard font.

The request for fonts from a library automatically initiates contact to the library operator. Theoretically, it is possible for the library operator to obtain data, though to which extent and purpose, is currently not clear.

You’ll find the data protection guidelines for Google’s library operations at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Use of Google Maps

To depict geographic information, the GUTEX Web site uses Google Maps API. Google collects, processes and uses information obtained through your use of the map functions. More detailed information about this is available in Google’s data privacy policy, where you may also change your privacy settings (data privacy centre).

For more detailed instructions and management of your personal information in conjunction with Google products, visit: https://google.com/dashboard

Embedded YouTube Videos

The GUTEX Web site contains pages with embedded YouTube videos. YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA is the operator. When you visit a page containing a YouTube plugin, you automatically connect to YouTube’s server, whereupon YouTube records the pages you visit. If you are logged on to your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your surfing movements and site visits with you. You can circumvent this by logging out of your YouTube account prior to using such Web pages.

As soon as you start viewing a YouTube video, the publisher begins using cookies to gather information about your use.

If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for Google’s ad programme, you will not have to deal with such cookies when you view YouTube videos. However, YouTube does store cookies on your computer that do not contain information about your personal use. If you would like to prevent this from taking place, you must disable the storage of cookies in your browser.

You’ll find further information about privacy protection while using YouTube in the Privacy Policy of the operator at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Google AdWords

The GUTEX Web site uses Google Conversion Tracking. This means when you access our site via a Google ad, Google stores a cookie on your device. Such cookies lose their validity after 30 days and they do not permit personal identification. If within the 30 days, the user revisits the same pages of our Web site, GUTEX and Google will notice. Each Google AdWord customer receives a unique cookie. Thus, such cookies cannot be tracked via the Web sites of AdWords customers. The information obtained with the assistance of Conversion Cookies helps provide AdWords customers who have chosen to use Conversion Tracking with conversion statistics. Customers receive information as to the total number of ad clicks with visits to linked pages with Conversion Tracking tags. However, they do not receive information that would permit them to identify persons.

If you would prefer to not participate in tracking, you can opt to decline the placement of cookies, either per general browser setting or by custom-setting your browser to block cookies from the domain <<googleleadservices.com>>.

Please note: Make sure you don’t delete the opt-out cookies if you don’t want the ad cookies to log your activities. If you delete all the cookies, you will again have to choose the opt-out cookie, in order to prevent conversion tracking.
